On August 29, representatives of Youth Departments of the European Union visited Ministry of Justice. Deputy Head of Administration David Maisuradze, and representatives of Analytical Department of the Ministry met with 30 representatives of governmental and nongovernemntal agencies interested in youth issues. They introduced ongoing reforms to the guests, and made a brief presentation of novelties.

On August 27, Head of the State Services Development Agency Giorgi Gabrielashvili visited construction works of the Community Development Center in village of Shashiani, Gurjaani district. Giorgi Gabrielashvili talked with workers employed on the construction, and met with residents. The Head of the State Services Development Agency personally informed them about the grant competition that was announced by the Agency in order to support the innovation projects in the field of agriculture.

Computerization of Georgian villages will be finished at the end of September. Today, Executive Director of the "Society for Spreading of Computer Literacy", Giorgi Bakradze met with representatives of the companies in village of Kheltubani of Gori district, which are working to provide the Internet access in the regions. Mr. Bakradze discussed the schedule of providing the Internet access in villages with "Silknet", "Caucasus", and "Delta".

The State Services Development Agency announces the grant competition on innovative projects in agricultural field. Within the competition, five project ideas will be funded, which will be focused on agriculture development and support the socio-economic recovery of the rural population.

Director of the Strategic Development Agency, Iva Davitaia met with employees of the centers of "Society for Spreading Computer Literacy". Mr. Davitaia informed employees of the Computer centers in 73 villages of 8 districts in the Kakheti region about a new competition that the Strategic Development Agency announces together with the "Society for Spreading Computer Literacy".

The National Bureau of Enforcement (NBE), acting in line with the Law of Georgia on Enforcement Proceedings, has started to enforce the Tbilisi City Court decision of June 27, 2012.

A worldwide authoritative sociological company GALLUP World published findings of the research conducted in 2011. According to the survey, citizens of Georgia have the highest security feeling among citizens of 143 countries in the world.

The Anti-Corruption Council meeting was held on 21 August 2012 at the Ministry of Justice of Georgia. The meeting was attended by high-level governmental officials, representatives of the Court and the Parliament, heads of local and international NGOs and the representatives of an international organization. The Minister of Justice chaired the meeting. Council members adopted the implementation report of the Action Plan of Georgia's National Anti-Corruption Strategy for the first 6 months of 2012.

A game of the Public Service Hall "JustGame" is finished. Today, the Rustavi Public Service Hall hosted winners of the third, final round. Giorgi Kochlamazashvili, Giorgi Ghibradze and Mindia Chubinidze received special prizes from the Public Service Hall - MacBook notebooks and ID card readers.

International Internship Programme at the Ministry of Justice was finished on August 17. Students of universities of Preston, Emory, Leiden, Fribourg, New York, and Central European University, who underwent the internship programme during one month at the different departments of the Ministry of Justice, were awarded with special certificates.

Today, Director General of the National Archive of Georgia Teona Iashvili opened 75th Anniversary Exhibition dedicated to the famous Georgian actress Sofiko Chiaureli at the Batumi Public Service Hall.

Today, within the rehabilitation project of Rabat - the historical district of Akhaltsikhe, the Wedding Hall was opened on the territory of the restored fortress, and hosted the first local couple. The Wedding Hall of Akhaltsikhe began its operation with the marriage registration of Mzeona Rekhviashvili, 24, and Rati Tatalashvili. The Public Service Hall gave the real celebration, festive mood, and wonderful environment to the young people on one of the most important days for them.

Deputy Minister of Justice Giorgi Vashadze opened the Wedding Hall in Mtskheta, and attended a wedding ceremony of the first couple. Couple Ketevan Kutateli and Nikoloz Magalashvili registered their marriage accompanied with a solemn ritual.

On August 11, students of the summer school were awarded with certificates at the Batumi Public Service Hall. Within the framework of the summer school, Georgian, Azerbaijani and Armenian students selected through the open competition, were learning about the principles of e-governance, management, service marketing, and other issues interesting for them during one week.

Today, on August 11, students of leading universities, who recently arrived in Georgia to undergo one-month internship at the Ministry of Justice, visited the Batumi Public Service Hall. A Manager of the Public Service Hall showed the service areas of the service center to the guests and introduced them a concept of the Public Service Hall.

From today, residents of Akhaltsikhe can also benefit from simplified state services combined in one space. On August 9, 2012, president of Georgia Mr. Mikheil Saakashvili opened the Public Service Hall in Akhaltsikhe. Speaker of Saeima of Latvia Mrs. Solvita Aboltina being on a personal visit to Georgia cut a red ribbon together with her daughter.

On 27-28 July Georgian governmental Freedom of Information Officers gathered in Gudauri on a workshop, co-organised by the MSI worldwide (within USAD G3 program) and the Ministry of Justice. More than thirty FOI officers attended the meeting.

A year passed since the issuance of ID cards started in Georgia, on August 1. According to the State Services Development Agency, 424 464 citizens express their desire to receive ID cards hitherto, among them are 22 513 Students.
