Representatives of Youth Departments of the European Union visited Ministry of Justice

On August 29, representatives of Youth Departments of the European Union visited Ministry of Justice. Deputy Head of Administration David Maisuradze, and representatives of Analytical Department of the Ministry met with 30 representatives of governmental and nongovernemntal agencies interested in youth issues. They introduced ongoing reforms to the guests, and made a brief presentation of novelties.


Community Development Center to be Opened in Shashiani at the End of September

On August 27, Head of the State Services Development Agency Giorgi Gabrielashvili visited construction works of the Community Development Center in village of Shashiani, Gurjaani district. Giorgi Gabrielashvili talked with workers employed on the construction, and met with residents. The Head of the State Services Development Agency personally informed them about the grant competition that was announced by the Agency in order to support the innovation projects in the field of agriculture.


Providing the Internet Service to Villages is launched within the ''Society for Spreading Computer Literacy'' Project

Computerization of Georgian villages will be finished at the end of September. Today, Executive Director of the "Society for Spreading of Computer Literacy", Giorgi Bakradze met with representatives of the companies in village of Kheltubani of Gori district, which are working to provide the Internet access in the regions. Mr. Bakradze discussed the schedule of providing the Internet access in villages with "Silknet", "Caucasus", and "Delta".


Grant Competition on Agriculture Development

The Anti-Corruption Council Meeting

The Anti-Corruption Council meeting was held on 21 August 2012 at the Ministry of Justice of Georgia. The meeting was attended by high-level governmental officials, representatives of the Court and the Parliament, heads of local and international NGOs and the representatives of an international organization. The Minister of Justice chaired the meeting. Council members adopted the implementation report of the Action Plan of Georgia's National Anti-Corruption Strategy for the first 6 months of 2012.


Winner of Game of the Public Service Hall is announced

A game of the Public Service Hall "JustGame" is finished. Today, the Rustavi Public Service Hall hosted winners of the third, final round. Giorgi Kochlamazashvili, Giorgi Ghibradze and Mindia Chubinidze received special prizes from the Public Service Hall - MacBook notebooks and ID card readers.

Wedding Hall was opened today in renovated Rabat

Today, within the rehabilitation project of Rabat - the historical district of Akhaltsikhe, the Wedding Hall was opened on the territory of the restored fortress, and hosted the first local couple. The Wedding Hall of Akhaltsikhe began its operation with the marriage registration of Mzeona Rekhviashvili, 24, and Rati Tatalashvili. The Public Service Hall gave the real celebration, festive mood, and wonderful environment to the young people on one of the most important days for them.

Public Service Hall opened in Akhaltsikhe

From today, residents of Akhaltsikhe can also benefit from simplified state services combined in one space. On August 9, 2012, president of Georgia Mr. Mikheil Saakashvili opened the Public Service Hall in Akhaltsikhe. Speaker of Saeima of Latvia Mrs. Solvita Aboltina being on a personal visit to Georgia cut a red ribbon together with her daughter.


Workshop for FOI Officers

Over 400 000 ID Cards were Issued in the Course of One Year

A year passed since the issuance of ID cards started in Georgia, on August 1. According to the State Services Development Agency, 424 464 citizens express their desire to receive ID cards hitherto, among them are 22 513 Students.
