Yes. A citizen can pay established fee:
5 days after submission – 3 GEL;
3 days after submission – 5 GEL;
After 24 hours – 15 GEL and
The same day – 25 GEL.

The state due for passport is 35 GEL and citizen can receive document in short-term if additional levy paid:

5 day term – 15 GEL;

3 day term – 45 GEL;

24 hours term – 125 GEL;

and applicant who want passports immediately must pay 170 GEL (state due and levy could be accomplished from any Georgian bank)).

No such documents could not be extended; due to adoption of passports with new symbols in Georgia.

No it is not obligatory. The passport is valid until the date of expiry.

Foreign citizens or apatrides permanently living in Georgia could receive registration certificates after 10 days from submission.
