Georgia’s Justice Minister Discusses Digital Cooperation with the Head of China’s Cyberspace Administration
The Minister of Justice of Georgia held talks with the Director of the Cyberspace Administration of the People’s Republic of China on expanding bilateral cooperation in the digital sphere.
During the meeting, Paata Salia and Zhuang Rongwen highlighted the Georgian Ministry of Justice’s role as one of the country’s largest providers of public and private sector services. In this context, both sides emphasized that closer cooperation with China’s Cyberspace Administration would enhance the two countries’ capabilities in cybersecurity and digital innovation.
The Georgian Minister also presented the key principles of the national cybersecurity awareness strategy. Discussions further covered the use of artificial intelligence, the development of mobile applications, and the implementation of digital identity (Digital ID) initiatives.
As part of the meeting, the Minister of Justice invited his Chinese counterpart to attend the UN Public Service Forum, which will be held in Tbilisi from June 23 to 25 this year.
The meeting was attended by First Deputy Minister of Justice Beka Dzamashvili, Deputy Minister Tamar Zodelava, and Head of the International Relations and Legal Cooperation Department Ketevan Sarajishvili.
