Paata Salia congratulated female inmates of Women’s Penitentiary No. 5 on Mother’s Day and attended a concert organized with their participation.

The event was also attended by Deputy Ministers of Justice Lana Morgoshia and Tamar Zodelava, Head of the Special Penitentiary Service Giorgi Pataridze, First Lady of Georgia Tamar Bagrationi, Deputy Speaker of Parliament Nino Tsilosani, Member of Parliament Eka Chichinadze, and other invited guests.

During the visit, the Minister of Justice and the Head of the Special Penitentiary Service presented the newly renovated sewing workshop, which is scheduled to open in the near future. Guests were also introduced to the facility’s beauty salon, fitness center, and library, all of which operate to support the resocialization and rehabilitation of inmates.

At the conclusion of the event, the inmates presented the guests with handmade gifts they had crafted themselves.
