In 2007, He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Law from Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University (TSU) .
In 2009, he graduated from the Faculty of Law of Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University (Master's degree).
From 2011 to 2017, he pursued doctoral studies at TSU and the University of Cologne, while also conducting research at the Max Planck Institute for Foreign and International Criminal Law in Freiburg.
In 2017, he successfully defended his doctoral dissertation in collaboration with the Institute for International Peace and Security Law at the University of Cologne, earning a Doctor of Law degree.
Between 2017 and 2019, he was a postdoctoral fellow at the Institute of International Peace and Security Law at the University of Cologne, contributing to various scientific and research projects.
Since 2010, he has been lecturing on criminal law and international criminal law at Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University, the University of Georgia, and Sukhumi State University.
Since 2013, he has been a research associate at the Institute of Comparative and Transnational Criminal Law at TSU.
Between 2016 and 2023, he served as an assistant and assistant professor at Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University.
From 2019 to 2024, he led the international criminal law scientific project funded by the Volkswagen Foundation (Volkswagenstiftung).
From 2021 to 2025, he was the editor of the Constitutional Law Journal published by the Constitutional Court of Georgia.
In 2022–2023, he served as an invited specialist at the Appeals Chamber of the International Criminal Court (ICC) in The Hague.
Between 2023 and 2025, he held the position of Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Law at Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University.
Since 2023, he has been an Associate Professor at TSU .
