Deputy Minister of Justice Giorgi Dgebuadze met with Deputy Prosecutor General of Georgia Amiran Guluashvili to discuss key issues related to the development of diversion and mediation programs.

During the working meeting, the participants reviewed current challenges and priorities in the field, with particular emphasis on the development of a comprehensive diversion and mediation policy, strengthening human resources and rehabilitation capacities, and improving data exchange and management systems.

The discussion also highlighted the importance of enhancing inter-agency and multidisciplinary cooperation throughout the diversion and mediation process. The participants underscored the need to organize joint training sessions and awareness-raising initiatives to support the effective implementation of diversion and mediation programs.

The meeting was attended by Nika Tskvarashvili, Head of the LEPL National Agency for Crime Prevention, Execution of Non-custodial Sentences and Probation, and Miranda Melkadze, Head of the Department for the Supervision of Prosecutorial Activities and Strategic Development at the Prosecutor General's Office of Georgia.
