Rati Bregadze: "Systematic Registration of Land Will Be Completed in 2024"

"Recognized and secured property rights are one of the main distinguishing features of independent Georgia from Soviet Georgia and the result of the unwavering struggle of many people," said Minister of Justice, Rati Bregadze in the Georgian Parliament today.

According to the Minister, 1/3 of the land plots in the country need to be registered, which is one of the big challenges. The Ministry of Justice has already prepared a legislative initiative and systematic land registration will start across the country from January next year. "We are starting the systematic registration of land and this issue will be fully settled once and for all by the end of 2024 in such a way that the property rights of every person living in this country will be ensured," said Rati Bregadze.
