Within the framework of the Week dedicated to the rights of persons with disabilities, the Ministry of Justice conducted a large-scale information campaign, including a public lecture held at Kutaisi International University.
The event was opened by Deputy Minister of Justice Merab Turava and the Executive Director/Rector of Kutaisi International University, Vakhtang Tsagareli. In his remarks, the Deputy Minister emphasized that the protection of the rights of persons with disabilities and ensuring access to public services remain key priorities of the Ministry of Justice.
The Ministry actively applies the principle of reasonable accommodation and supports the inclusion of more than 100 employees with disabilities within the justice system.
Representatives of the Ministry of Justice delivered presentations to students on key topics, including the rights of persons with disabilities under national and international legal frameworks, the principle of reasonable accommodation, and appropriate etiquette when interacting with persons with disabilities.
Similar events dedicated to the protection of the rights of persons with disabilities were held across all agencies within the Ministry of Justice system.
