The Minister of Justice of Georgia, Paata Salia, met with the Director General of the Council of Europe for Human Rights and the Rule of Law, Gianluca Esposito, to discuss issues of mutual cooperation.
The parties highlighted the strong and effective partnership between Georgia and the Council of Europe, particularly in the areas of human rights, the rule of law, and democratic governance.
The meeting was attended by First Deputy Minister of Justice Beka Dzamashvili and Georgia’s Permanent Representative to the Council of Europe, Khatia Tsilosani.
Paata Salia is in Strasbourg to participate in the Council of Europe Ministerial Conference. During the event, the Minister delivered a speech and shared Georgia’s experience in combating and preventing financial crime with representatives of the Council of Europe member states.
