Georgia's Minister of Justice, Paata Salia, met with Mustafa Türker Arı, Ambassador of Turkey to Georgia, to discuss the strong cooperation between the two countries in civil and criminal matters, as well as their joint efforts to combat transnational organized crime.
During the meeting, the Minister emphasized that expanding cooperation into new areas would facilitate the exchange of expertise and strengthen joint efforts in the fields of justice, the rule of law, and the protection of human rights.
Paata Salia expressed his readiness to meet with his Turkish counterpart to explore new avenues and mechanisms for sectoral cooperation.
The Minister also invited the Turkish delegation to attend the United Nations Public Service Forum, which will be hosted in Tbilisi from 23 to 25 June 2026.
The meeting was attended by First Deputy Minister of Justice Beka Dzamashvili and Ketevan Sarajishvili, Head of the Department of International Relations and Legal Cooperation.
