Rati Bregadze: "It is time to get down from the tables and respect the legal order that exists in the country"

"When you see that there is a barrier, which, as a rule, you should not reach, as a lawyer or any other person and you should not stand on the table," Justice Minister, Rati Bregadze said on Imedi Live, referring to the incident at the meeting of Saakashvili with his lawyers.

"There was a talk about raising the barrier at the meeting area, as if some rights were being violated. Absolutely no rights have been violated. The barrier had to be raised because of covid regulations; And you should not try to hand over the correspondence like a volleyball, because I say this again - they endanger the convict directly, because if the glass is overturned and, say, someone gets injured, then it will be our responsibility. That is why we asked them to deliver correspondence in a civilized way and it is time for them to get off the tables and respect the legal order that exists in the country,” said Rati Bregadze.
