Minister of Justice, Paata Salia Meets with Public Defender, Levan Ioseliani
Today, the Minister of Justice of Georgia, Paata Salia, held a meeting with the Public Defender of Georgia, Levan Ioseliani.
The discussion focused on enhancing cooperation between the Ministry of Justice and the Public Defender’s Office. Particular emphasis was placed on the reforms implemented within the penitentiary system and their positive influence on the re-socialization and rehabilitation of inmates.
Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to deepening collaboration, especially in strengthening the protection of human rights—one of the Ministry’s top priorities.
The meeting, held at the Ministry of Justice, was attended by Deputy Ministers of Justice Beka Dzamashvili, Giorgi Dgebuadze, and Lasha Maghradze; Head of the Special Penitentiary Service Nika Tskvarashvili; and Deputy Public Defenders Tamar Gvaramadze, Elene Ghudushauri, and Irina Chikhladze.
