Paata Salia Presents Georgia’s Public Service Reforms to the UN Committee of Experts on Public Administration
At the 25th session of the UN Committee of Experts on Public Administration (CEPA) in New York, Georgia’s Minister of Justice, Paata Salia, presented the country’s ongoing reforms in public service delivery and the broader modernization of state institutions.
In his address, the Minister highlighted Georgia’s efforts to enhance public services through the integration of artificial intelligence, improved efficiency, and a strong focus on citizen-centered service delivery.
“We rely on the transformative power of technology. From e-services to artificial intelligence, Georgia is actively integrating digital innovations into its public administration system, in line with our 2025–2030 Digital Governance Strategy. This strategy provides a coherent framework for building a sustainable, secure, and inclusive digital infrastructure,” said Paata Salia.
The Minister also underscored the significance of the 2026 UN Public Services Forum, which will be held in Tbilisi. “Georgia, in partnership with the United Nations, will host the UN Public Services Forum on June 23–25 under the theme: ‘Transforming Public Institutions: Fostering Innovation, Engagement, and Inclusivity.’ We are confident that Tbilisi will serve as a dynamic platform for dialogue, exchange of experiences, and collaborative thinking, contributing to the acceleration of sustainable change,” he noted.
A delegation from the Ministry of Justice is visiting the United States to participate in the 25th CEPA session, which is taking place in New York from April 13 to 17. CEPA is a UN advisory body that provides analysis and recommendations aimed at strengthening governance and public administration worldwide.
As part of the visit, Minister Paata Salia will also hold meetings with United Nations Deputy Secretaries-General.
