Minister of Justice Paata Salia Participates in the Council of Europe Conference of Ministers of Justice
Minister of Justice of Georgia Paata Salia is visiting Strasbourg to participate in the Council of Europe Conference of Ministers of Justice.
The conference aims to facilitate the exchange of experience among Council of Europe member states in combating money laundering and financial crime, as well as to discuss effective mechanisms for addressing current challenges in this field. The high-level event is organized by the Council of Europe and brings together Ministers of Justice from member states, representatives of the European Court of Human Rights, and experts specializing in the fight against money laundering and financial crime.
The conference will be opened by the Secretary of State for Justice of Monaco, Samuel Vuelta Simon, the Secretary General of the Council of Europe, Alain Berset, and the President of the European Court of Human Rights, Matthias Guyomar.
As part of the ministerial conference, Paata Salia will deliver a speech during the first plenary session, dedicated to the early detection of crime. He will present Georgia’s experience and achievements in preventing and combating financial crime and share the country’s best practices with international partners.
The events in Strasbourg are also attended by First Deputy Minister of Justice Beka Dzamashvili and Georgia’s Permanent Representative to the Council of Europe, Khatia Tsilosani.
