UN Public Service Forum Continues in Sessional Format
The UN Public Service Forum continued today with a series of panel discussions and working sessions attended by First Deputy Minister of Justice Beka Dzamashvili and Head of the Government Administration Levan Zhorzholiani.
Discussions focused on key issues, including universal access to public services, government accountability and transparency, effective monitoring systems, and other priorities in public sector governance.
Georgia is hosting the UN Public Service Forum for the first time. Bringing this high-level event to Tbilisi reflects international recognition of the country's successful reforms aimed at developing accessible, efficient, and citizen-centered public services. The forum was officially opened by Prime Minister of Georgia Irakli Kobakhidze, Minister of Justice Paata Salia, and UN Under-Secretary-General for Economic and Social Affairs Li Junhua.
Throughout the forum, participants are exploring a range of pressing topics, including digital transformation, the responsible use of artificial intelligence, data protection, inclusive governance, anti-corruption efforts, stronger citizen engagement, and improved access to public services through panel discussions and thematic working sessions.
The forum will conclude on 25 June with the UN Public Service Awards ceremony.
