The Minister of Justice held a meeting with the Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to discuss prospects for strengthening sectoral cooperation.
During the introductory meeting, Paata Salia and Hyun Doo Kim highlighted the positive momentum in the development of partnership relations between Georgia and the Republic of Korea, noting that this creates new opportunities for further deepening bilateral cooperation.
It was emphasized that the Ministry of Justice of Georgia, in collaboration with the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Security of the Republic of Korea, is actively working to enhance cooperation in the field of technology. The parties are currently discussing the signing of a memorandum of understanding, which envisages the establishment of a joint digital governance center in Tbilisi. The center will serve as an innovative platform for sharing knowledge and best practices, contributing to the country’s rapid digital transformation and the advancement of its technological capabilities.
The meeting was also attended by First Deputy Minister of Justice Beka Dzamashvili, Deputy Minister Tamar Zodelava, and Head of the Department of International Relations and Legal Cooperation Ketevan Sarajishvili.
