The meeting was attended by the heads of key agencies, including the Public Service Hall, the National Bureau of Enforcement, the State Services Development Agency, the National Agency of Public Registry, as well as the regional directors of the National Agency for Crime Prevention, Enforcement of Non-Custodial Sentences, and Probation in Adjara.

Participants discussed current initiatives, upcoming projects, and challenges faced by the agencies.

As part of the visit, the Minister and Deputy Minister toured the Public Service Hall branches in Batumi and Kobuleti, where they reviewed employee working conditions and service delivery on site.

The Minister of Justice of Georgia, Paata Salia, together with the Minister of Education, Science and Youth, Aleksandre Tsuladze, officially opened a thematic youth camp at the Kvareli Training Center of Justice. This year, the camp will be conducted in eight sessions and is expected to host up to 500 students.

The opening ceremony was also attended by Deputy Minister of Justice Giorgi Dgebuadze, Director of the Justice Training Center Gvantsa Varamashvili, and Acting Head of the Youth Agency Vakhtang Baakashvili.

The event featured an interactive format, allowing students to engage directly with the ministers and receive answers to their questions.

During the visit, Minister Paata Salia toured the Kvareli Training Center’s facilities and familiarized himself with the working conditions of the staff on site.

Today, the Minister of Justice of Georgia, Paata Salia, held a meeting with the Public Defender of Georgia, Levan Ioseliani.

The discussion focused on enhancing cooperation between the Ministry of Justice and the Public Defender’s Office. Particular emphasis was placed on the reforms implemented within the penitentiary system and their positive influence on the re-socialization and rehabilitation of inmates.

Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to deepening collaboration, especially in strengthening the protection of human rights—one of the Ministry’s top priorities.

During the meeting, the parties discussed avenues for enhancing cooperation in the field of justice. They highlighted the significance of the Georgian-Armenian Legal Forum as a valuable platform for sharing best practices and fostering collaboration between legal professionals from both countries.

The discussion also focused on potential directions for future cooperation between the Ministries of Justice of Georgia and Armenia.

Minister Salia provided an overview of the key priorities and areas of activity of the Georgian Ministry of Justice. He also expressed his willingness to host his Armenian counterpart in Tbilisi in the near future. Deputy Minister of Justice, Beka Dzamashvili, also attended the meeting.

During a meeting with the staff of the Ministry of Justice, Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze highlighted the extensive professional experience and high qualifications of Paata Salia, describing him as one of Georgia’s most accomplished legal professionals.

The Prime Minister also expressed his gratitude to Anri Okhanashvili for his service as Minister of Justice and wished him success in his future endeavors.

During the meeting, they discussed ongoing projects, future plans, and the current challenges facing the National Archives.

The Minister also inspected the infrastructure and storage facilities of the National Archives and reviewed the working conditions of the employees on-site.
