Minister of Justice of Georgia, Paata Salia, delivered the closing remarks at the final session of the UN World Public Service Forum.

In his speech, Minister Salia summarized the key outcomes of the forum and underscored the significance of such platforms for sharing best practices and fostering effective international cooperation.

He also extended an official invitation to all participants to attend the next UN World Public Service Forum, scheduled to take place in Tbilisi in 2026, to be hosted by the Ministry of Justice of Georgia.

Within the framework of the UN World Public Service Forum, the Minister of Justice of Georgia, Paata Salia, held a meeting with his counterpart from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Davor Bunoza.

The ministers discussed the ongoing cooperation between the two countries in the areas of justice and human rights protection. Paata Salia presented the key priorities of the Georgian Ministry of Justice, highlighting the country's model of public service delivery and recent reforms in the penitentiary system.

During the meeting, the two ministers signed a cooperation agreement aimed at strengthening bilateral ties and facilitating the exchange of experience in justice, rule of law, human rights, and digital transformation.

Paata Salia extended an official invitation to Davor Bunoza to attend the 2026 Public Services Forum, which will be hosted in Georgia.

During the meeting, the ministers discussed avenues for enhancing bilateral cooperation, with a particular focus on advancing digital governance and strengthening sectoral collaboration.

At the conclusion of the meeting, Minister Salia extended an official invitation to Minister Shermatov to participate in the 2026 UN Public Services Forum, which will be hosted in Tbilisi and organized by Georgia's Ministry of Justice.

Minister of Justice of Georgia Paata Salia met with Navid Hanif, Representative of the UN Secretary-General, within the framework of the UN Public Services Forum. During the meeting, the parties discussed the successful cooperation between the Ministry of Justice of Georgia and the United Nations, highlighting opportunities to further strengthen this partnership.

Minister Salia presented the Georgian model of public service delivery, emphasizing the role of digital technologies in enhancing accessibility and efficiency.

At the conclusion of the meeting, Minister Salia extended an official invitation to Mr. Hanif to attend the 2026 UN Public Services Forum, which will be hosted in Tbilisi by the Ministry of Justice of Georgia.

A delegation from the Ministry of Justice of Georgia, led by Minister Paata Salia, is participating in the United Nations Public Services Forum.

During the ministerial plenary session, Minister Salia addressed the forum participants, presenting Georgia’s experience in advancing innovation within the public sector, implementing digital transformation, and developing artificial intelligence technologies.

The forum also includes high-level bilateral meetings, and a joint declaration on public services and technological innovation is expected to be signed.

Notably, Georgia will host the UN Public Services Forum in 2026, with the Ministry of Justice serving as the organizing body.

Minister of Justice Paata Salia participated in the conference “Development of Financial Technologies – Challenges and Prospects”.

In his address, the Minister showcased technological innovations introduced by the Ministry of Justice and its affiliated agencies. He emphasized the importance of enhancing service accessibility and reaffirmed the Ministry’s commitment to ongoing digital transformation.

As part of the conference, representatives from the State Services Development Agency, the Digital Governance Agency, and the National Agency of Public Registry are taking part in panel discussions. The event is organized by the National Bank of Georgia and brings together participants from both the public and private sectors.

The 125th branch of the Public Service Hall was officially opened in Sagarejo by the Prime Minister of Georgia, Irakli Kobakhidze, alongside the Minister of Justice, Paata Salia, and the Chairperson of the Public Service Hall, Vakhtang Zhvania.

The new branch, distinguished by its unique architecture and modern interior design, offers citizens access to up to 500 public services. The facility is fully adapted to meet the needs of persons with disabilities.

The opening ceremony was attended by members of the legislative body, Deputy Ministers of Justice, heads of legal entities under public law (LEPLs), the State Representative in the Kakheti Region, local government officials, and other invited guests.

Minister of Justice of Georgia, Paata Salia, together with the newly appointed Head of the Special Penitentiary Service, Bezhan Obgaidze, held a meeting with the employees of the Special Penitentiary Service.

The meeting was attended by department heads and directors of various penitentiary institutions. Discussions focused on the agency’s ongoing projects, future development plans, and current challenges facing the penitentiary system.

As part of the visit, Minister Salia also toured the Service’s infrastructure and personally reviewed the working conditions of employees on site.
