Minister of Justice of Georgia, Rati Bregadze held a meeting today with Chairperson of the International Criminal Court (ICC), Piotr Hofmanski in the Hague.

It was noted at the meeting that Georgia, as one of the founding states of the Court, has always supported the activities of the International Criminal Court and its institutions, which has been manifested in exemplary cooperation over the years.

The Minister discussed concrete initiatives for deepening cooperation with the ICC.

The Ministry of Justice will actively continue to protect the national interests and sovereignty of Georgia in international courts in the future.

At the meeting with the Prosecutor of the International Criminal Court, Karim Khan, the important results achieved as a result of cooperation were assessed and discussed, as well as, the challenges resulting from ongoing military conflicts.

Consistent strategic litigation in international courts is a priority of the Ministry of Justice, and the agency will actively continue protection of the state's interests in the future.
