Ministry of Justice Shares Georgia's Visa Liberalization Experience with Armenian Government Delegation
The Ministry of Justice of Georgia welcomed a delegation from the Republic of Armenia. During the visit, the Georgian side provided valuable insights into its journey towards visa liberalization with the European Union (EU), discussing the steps undertaken by the Ministry of Justice, potential challenges encountered, and the notable progress achieved.
Conversations delved into various aspects of Georgia's implementation of the action plan for visa-free travel with the EU. Key topics included the security measures surrounding documentation, reforms spearheaded by the State Services Development Agency, the comprehensive strategy for combatting human trafficking, and the pivotal role of the interagency council overseen by the Minister of Justice. Additionally, discussions touched upon Georgia's migration management policies and stressed the significance of a cohesive coordination mechanism in this domain.
The meeting was attended by the representatives of the International Relations and Legal Cooperation Department of the Ministry of Justice and the State Services Development Agency.
