Paata Salia Holds Bilateral Meeting with the State Secretary for Justice of the Slovak Republic, Milan Hoda, During His Visit to Strasbourg
During his visit to Strasbourg, Paata Salia held a bilateral meeting with the State Secretary for Justice of the Slovak Republic, Milan Hoda.
Paata Salia expressed his gratitude for Slovakia’s firm support of Georgia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
He briefed the Slovak side on the key priorities of the Ministry of Justice of Georgia, including human rights protection, penitentiary system reform, service development, and digital governance. The parties also discussed the integration of artificial intelligence into the justice sector and emphasized the importance of safeguarding human rights throughout this process.
The two sides reviewed cooperation with the European Union in the areas of justice, freedom, and security.
Both parties expressed readiness to further deepen bilateral cooperation and to implement joint initiatives, including in the fields of rehabilitation and resocialization of convicts and penitentiary system management.
The Minister of Justice of Georgia also invited the Slovak delegation to the UN Public Service Forum, which will be held in Tbilisi on 23–25 June 2026.
The meeting was attended by Deputy Minister of Justice Beka Dzamashvili and the Permanent Representative of Georgia to the Council of Europe, Khatia Tsilosani.
