During the meeting, the ministers discussed avenues for enhancing bilateral cooperation, with a particular focus on advancing digital governance and strengthening sectoral collaboration.

At the conclusion of the meeting, Minister Salia extended an official invitation to Minister Shermatov to participate in the 2026 UN Public Services Forum, which will be hosted in Tbilisi and organized by Georgia's Ministry of Justice.

Minister of Justice of Georgia Paata Salia met with Navid Hanif, Representative of the UN Secretary-General, within the framework of the UN Public Services Forum. During the meeting, the parties discussed the successful cooperation between the Ministry of Justice of Georgia and the United Nations, highlighting opportunities to further strengthen this partnership.

Minister Salia presented the Georgian model of public service delivery, emphasizing the role of digital technologies in enhancing accessibility and efficiency.

At the conclusion of the meeting, Minister Salia extended an official invitation to Mr. Hanif to attend the 2026 UN Public Services Forum, which will be hosted in Tbilisi by the Ministry of Justice of Georgia.

A delegation from the Ministry of Justice of Georgia, led by Minister Paata Salia, is participating in the United Nations Public Services Forum.

During the ministerial plenary session, Minister Salia addressed the forum participants, presenting Georgia’s experience in advancing innovation within the public sector, implementing digital transformation, and developing artificial intelligence technologies.

The forum also includes high-level bilateral meetings, and a joint declaration on public services and technological innovation is expected to be signed.

Notably, Georgia will host the UN Public Services Forum in 2026, with the Ministry of Justice serving as the organizing body.
